RAPTOR ENCOUNTER PRIVATE CLASSES

Our private raptor classes cater to individuals of all ages interested in exploring the fascinating world of raptors. Participants will gain insights into the behaviors and characteristics of various birds of prey. After a thorough learning session, you will have the opportunity to glove up and engage in basic falconry activities, allowing for a hands-on experience. Additionally, discussions will cover the role of raptors in falconry and their current conservation status, emphasizing the importance of these majestic birds.

We offer three Raptor Encounters to choose from:

1-Bird: $75 per person. Encounter 1 raptor of your choice.
2-Bird: $150 per person. Have an encounter with our hawk & peregrine falcon and learn the differences between these two amazing species.
3-Bird: $185 per person. Hawk, Falcon & Owl. Have an Encounter with all 3 wonderful raptors and learn about their stories & differences.
Observers only: $55 per person (all ages)

Your private encounter takes place at Vicki’s home in her backyard, creating a casual and relaxing atmosphere. We are located just 20 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, CA.

Class size: 1-6 participants

Please note: All minors must be accompanied by an adult. We offer observer-only tickets for those who wish to learn all about our birds but do not wish to interact with our raptors. All attending guests must have a ticket.

Cancellation policy: We do not give refunds, but you can reschedule to a future date or receive store credit on a gift card towards any class. Store credit does not expire. This policy also applies if we need to cancel your encounter for any reason, including unforeseen weather, disaster conditions, illness, or COVID-19.

Bird Safety policy:   Our birds are wild creatures, not pets. A respectful quietness and a slow approach are essential for a pleasant experience for both the birds and the guests. Safety instructions will be provided during the encounter class to ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

Guests are encouraged to take photos, selfies, and videos of the birds during their visit. All proceeds from these activities directly support the care and feeding of our birds, as well as funding future raptor education projects.
