Vicki Gardner

CA State-Licensed General-Class Falconer

All presentations and classes are taught by Vicki Gardner. She has been a state licensed falconer in California since 2019. Vicki homeschooled her daughter, Kendall, for 7 years and is a volunteer for the Audubon’s Society raptor education program, Eye’s in the Sky, at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Her mission is to inspire and instill a love for these beautiful birds into the hearts of those who will continue to support and protect them by bringing fun and knowledgeable classes and presentations to the community. She hopes to someday to create a raptor sanctuary for senior/retired and injured falconry raptors.

Kendall Gardner

CA State-Licensed General-Class Falconer

Kendall is Vicki’s daughter and has been handling hawks since the age of 12!

Kendall started it all! One day she announced her dream of becoming a falconer. Her mom joined her and together they have learned the art of being falconers together. Kendall has plans to pursue a career with birds of prey, working alongside raptor partners in falconry-based pest abatement and assisting her mom in conservation education and classes here at SweetHawk Falconry.

“We strive to instill a love for these beautiful birds of prey in the hearts of those who will continue to support and protect them by bringing fun and knowledgeable classes to the community.”
