We’re Celebrating Special Occassions and Birthdays at SweetHawk!
Everyone is falling in love with raptors! Falconry Encounters were booked for Valentine’s Day gifts and birthday celebrations!
We officially launched our Falconry Encounter private class, where couples or the whole family came and spent an hour with our birds, learned about their species and the differences between hawks and falcons. Afterwards it was time to get up close and personal, as they interacted with our American Kestrel at Tiki’s Training Table, held the fastest creature on Earth and felt the soft feathers of our very own wolf of the sky. But nothing could beat the thrill of having a Red-Tailed Hawk fly from over 40 ft away to their glove!
Falconry Encounters take place at Vicki’s home in her backyard, creating a casual and relaxing atmosphere. We are located in Goleta, CA, just 20 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, and only book one encounter a day. This allows our birds to acclimate to more people in a gentle way and not get too stressed or overwhelmed with a constant flow of people. It also gives us more freedom have give quality time with our guests, answering their questions and interacting with all the birds. At the end each guest gets a complementary magnet souvenir with a photo of one our birds to choose from. Don’t forget to leave us a souvenir too and sign our guestbook before you leave!
